Miss Laurel County Fair Pageant and Miss Teen Pageant Wednesday,
Babies Saturday
The Laurel County Fair will present two days of pageantry, which covers
several youth categories. The pageants are divided over Wednesday night and
Saturday morning and are held in the Pepsi-Cola Pavilion. All pageants are
open competition, except for Little Miss and Mister divisions. $25 entry fee
per contestant.
Miss Laurel Co. Fair - Entry Deadline - July 7, 2008
The Miss Laurel County
Fair Pageant will be held on Wednesday, July 9th and will feature young
ladies, ages 16-21, who are hoping to represent the Laurel County Fair in
the Miss Kentucky County Fair pageant, held each January in Louisville. The
winner qualifies for a $500 dollar scholarship. Contestants for Miss
Laurel County must be single, have never been married or had a marriage
annulled and never had any children. A contestant must have reached her 16th
birthday by October 31 of the year when the pageant is held. Contestants
will appear in swimwear, shorts/ solid color t-shirts, street wear and formal wear. A
three minute interview with the judges will be held on the day of the
pageant. Contestants must be at the fairgrounds by 12:00
noon. Miss Laurel County Fair will receive a $500
scholarship, crown, banner, trophy, and will appear at the Kentucky State
Fair.

Miss Teen Laurel County Fair - Entry Deadline - July
7, 2008
Young ladies, ages 13-15, can compete for the title of Miss Teen Laurel
County Fair. The winner represents our fair in Louisville each year at the
state level competition. The Teen Miss pageant will be held on Wednesday
night, July 9th.
Contestants for the Miss Teen Laurel Fair must be single, never married,
never had a marriage annulled. She must have reached her 13th birthday by
Oct. 31 of the pageant year and not have reached her 16th birthday by Oct.
31.
Contestants will appear in sports wear (shorts/ t-shirt), street wear, and
evening gowns. A three minute interview with the judges will take place on
the day of the pageant. Contestants must be at the fairgrounds by
12:00 noon. Miss Teen Laurel County will receive $50, a crown,
banner, and trophy.

Miss Pre-Teen - Entry Deadline - July 7, 2008
Young ladies ages 8
through 12 will compete in the Miss Pre-Teen pageant on Wednesday
night, July 9th. Contestants in this pageant will appear in sports wear and
pageant gowns. Interviews will be private. Contestants must be at the
fairgrounds by 12:00 noon. Winners will compete for a crown, banner,
trophy and $25 cash prize. The winner will represent the Laurel County Fair
in Louisville at the Kentucky Association of Fairs pageant which will
be held in October in conjunction with the Miss Teen Pageant. Contestants
must be age 8 by July 1st and not yet age 13 by October 31st.

Little Miss and Mister - Entry Deadline - July 13, 2008
Little Miss and Mister for
ages 5 - 7, will be held Saturday, July 12th at 12:00 noon. Entries will
only be accepted from residents of Laurel, Rockcastle, Clay, Jackson, or
Whitley Counties. Little Miss and Mister must have reached their 5th
birthday by Tuesday, June 30 and not have reached their 8th birthday by June
30. Little Miss and Mister do not compete as a couple. Contestants
will appear in white shorts/ t-shirts, and Sunday dress. There will be a
three minute interview with the judges the day of the pageant. Little Miss
and Mister will receive $25, crown, banner, and trophy. Winners of the
Little Miss and Mister pageant will represent the Laurel County Fair in
August at the Kentucky State Fair.

Tiny Miss and Mister - Entry Deadline - July 13,

Tiny Miss and Mister Laurel County Fair always features the most adorable
youngsters to walk across the stage. The pride of moms and dads, grannies
and grandpas can easily be spotted throughout the crowd. Youngsters ages 3-4
will be looking their best on Saturday morning, July 12th, at 12:00 noon.
Tiny Miss and Mister will appear in the outfit of their choice. The winner,
first runner up and second runner up will be chosen. There will be separate
divisions for boys and girls

Baby Show - Entry Deadline - July 13, 2008
The Laurel County Fair will give fairgoers the chance to see the youngest
participants in the Fair on Saturday morning, July 12th! Babies will take
the stage Saturday at 12:00 noon. Age categories are 0 – 6 months, 7 - 12
months, 13 - 24 months, and 25 - 35 months. First, second, and third place
will be chosen in each category. Babies will appear in the outfit
of the parent's choice.
