1. All cattle exhibited must conform to Kentucky Department of Agriculture Livestock Exhibit Requirements. 2. Registered and grade animals will be shown on the grounds. 3. Only female animals will be allowed on the grounds. 4. Ribbons and prize money will be given to the top four individuals in each open class. 1st - Blue; 2nd - Red; 3rd - White; 4th - Yellow. Additional ribbons and prize money will be given to the top four local animals in each class. Local animals are defined as animals from Laurel County, owned by farmers living or farming in Laurel County. 5. The top heifers in each of the open heifer classes within each breed will show for junior champion of that breed, and the top cow in each of the five classes within each breed will show for senior champion. 6. If only one animal is shown in a class, it will be paid according to the ribbon awarded by the judge. For reserve champion, the judge has the option of bringing in another animal other than the champion if he so desires. 7. Anyone violating any of the regulations will forfeit all premiums won. 8. Order of showing will be Ayrshire, Brown Swiss, Guernsey, Holstein, and Jersey, in numerical order as shown in this catalog. All junior calves of each breed will show before moving to senior class calves. After all heifers are shown, the junior champion of each breed will be chosen. 9. A judging contest will be conducted during the show on specifically announced classes. There will be three divisions: Junior, Senior, and Adult. No one will be allowed to compete in any two divisions. One prize will be awarded for each division. In case of a tie, a means of breaking the tie will be arranged. 10. The decision of the judge will be final. 11. The Laurel County Fair, its agents, servants, and employees, the Southeastern Kentucky Dairy Show Committee, Directors, and members, shall in no way be held liable or responsible for any loss, damages, or accidents that may occur from the operation of the Laurel County Fair Dairy Show. 12. Each exhibitor is responsible for cleaning up his area after the show. It will not be necessary to clean up manure and straw. 13. All heifer yearling (in milk) will show in the 2 year class.
